for the first time in too long, influential visionquest founder, dj and producer shaun reeves is back with a new ep. this one - the label’s 50th, no less - comes in collaboration with acclaimed italian house producer tuccillo, features two essential new tracks and comes with a fantastic remix by dorian paic. shaun has released on the likes of crosstown, wolf + lamb and catwash and has worked with art department and dj w!ld, but here it is well informed house man and 2020 vision and holic trax associate tuccillo that is his musical paring partner. together the pair really hit it off with some truly infectious club tracks.

the original opens with a field recording intro followed shortly after by heavy bass shots and a pulsating kick drum. snare patterns and an underwater synth melody hit the speakers with an abstract touch, while halfway through the pace changes with a new bass coming in. an experimental and brave track, it reflects idriss djing style and his long sets, going into different mental spaces, a wavelike combination of beats and up&down rhythms. eduardo de la calle s trademark analog sounds fill his tribute remix with acid keyboards, rim shot grooves, industrial noises and metallic vibes, swinging with a rolling bass line and bringing the original percussions to the fore.

after more than a year in the making we are almost ready to release the final chapter in psychemagiks magik series. due to incredible responses from the artists we contacted we ended up with more tracks than we needed for one album so it was decided to release magik sunset in two parts. both albums contain yet more of the long lost and obscure tracks that the previous compilations have presented and part one is now available on double vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

ir103 * the jazzy grooves ep*, was the 3rd release in i records history. having already struck a nerve in house music with two vinyl compilations called -the avenue project-, the label enlisted the talents of the now legendary duo -jazz n groove- to provide it s first all original artist ep. delivering the firepower, the release featured 5 tracks and included the long awaited -open up-. first released in the mid 90 s,it was featured as an exclusive vinyl with full color labeling. this release has become one of the hardest i records back catalog to find.

tresor records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. three of the &#64257,,,nest in this collection were albums contributed by surgeon, “basictonalvocabulary”, “balance” and “force + form” all originally came out on the berlin institution between 1997 and 1999. surgeon’s inimitable combination of detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his british homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases on tresor. the basictonal-remake 12” accompanied surgeon’s &#64257,,,rst tresor album in 1997, with additional versions as well as a remix by long-time birmingham collaborator mick harris.
